The North Clayton High School Eagles football program is guided by a tight‑knit, student‑centered staff that pairs championship ambition with a deep commitment to character development. Head Coach Cap Burnett IV sets the tone, bringing an energizing vision of “Discipline, Dedication, Determination and Desire” to every practice and game.
Our history
Since opening its doors in 1937, North Clayton High School’s Eagles football program has paired academic rigor with gridiron success, capturing region titles in 1962‑64, 1993, 1997 and 2005 while earning a statewide reputation for disciplined, fast‑paced play. That competitive edge has also forged a direct pipeline to the NFL, producing alumni such as:
· quarterback D.J. Shockley (Atlanta Falcons)
· Super‑Bowl‑winning safety Morgan Burnett (Green Bay Packers)
· linebackers Amarlo Herrera (Indianapolis Colts) and Sundiata Anderson(Seattle Seahawks)
· cornerback Kindle Vildor (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
· edge rusher YaYa Diaby (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
· nose tackle Kyle Love (New England Patriots/Carolina Panthers).
